Why ‘Christ’ in Divine Feminine Christ Consciousness?

The Journey to Love Yourself.jpg

A friend asked me what divine feminine Christ consciousness means and if it had a Christian or religious connotation?  I’m so glad she asked.  I can only respond from my own experience and embodiment of this often very triggering and controversial word – CHRIST.

I’ll begin by clarifying from my own personal perspective that Christ consciousness in this context has nothing to do with Christianity or any religion for that matter.  I could keep this simple and not refer to Christ consciousness in any of my text.  Alternatively, I could just say BUDDHA / UNITY / SOURCE consciousness, far more acceptable and less challenging than CHRIST consciousness.  To be honest, I did include those words in my first draft of my website to keep it ‘safe and inclusive’ and then decided against it.  Because it would not be authentic for me.

Authentic for me is reclaiming and embodying my sovereignty.  To me, sovereignty means recognising and acknowledging that there is no divine power greater than me or you and no power below me or you.  You and I are born with equal divinity.  The Dalai Lama and I are born with equal amount of divinity.  He’s just far more ahead in his journey than I am.  So, in other words, in my sovereignty, I am born with the exact qualities of GOD.  And so are you.  And so is that pesky driver who was tailgating you the other day, he/she is just not aware of who he/she truly is.  But in our Human Vessel, we can only express our divinity through the vulnerability of our humanity (more on that later).

There was a time in my life when I was not aligned with sovereignty – I much preferred the idea of a power outside of me that might one day save me.  It’s a BIG deal to reconcile that the God we are waiting for, is us. This has been my own journey toward embodying my sovereign divinity.

Christ consciousness.  Not Jesus Christ.  Simply Christ consciousness.  I was introduced to Christ consciousness through my love and joy of The Sophia Code.  Further to The Sophia Code, I also attended the Stargate 2 Curriculum with Kaia Ra (www.kaiara.com) where we explored this notion in detail (look out for Kaia’s upcoming book which will reveal all these details in 2020).  So, am I then just regurgitating what I have read from a book and in so doing, simply creating another version of religion?  Heck, some of us are going as far to say that The Sophia Code is the new bible!  So is divine feminine Christ consciousness a new religion?

Not quite because with sovereignty comes embodiment.  It’s all words and rules until it is embodied. To say that I am born in the image of God is a total power trip if not embodied and grounded in my vulnerable human journey. In my human journey, I have found NOTHING comfortable about owning up to who I am as a sovereign divine being.

Can one truly show compassion to another if one does not embody compassion?  Can our compassion grow even deeper over time?  What I am alluding to here is that embodying sovereignty happens as a journey over time rather than a destination.  I woke up last weekend feeling quite the Goddess.  Yesterday not quite – really wanted to scream and run away from all this responsibility of running my own business.  Not very God like.  No power trip here, just plain human vulnerability in reclaiming my sovereignty as a divine feminine leader in Christ consciousness showing up in my human journey.

So, what has sovereignty and embodiment got to do with Christ consciousness.  There is one final element to this puzzle; Source.  As mentioned earlier, I could have used terminology that is more readily acceptable such as Buddha / Unity / Source Consciousness.  To truly explore what the word Christ has to do with divine feminine consciousness for me, I return to SOURCE.

Source as the source of all.  Source of divinity that birthed you and me.  Source that birth all the divine qualities that we inherited from Source. In the Sophia Code, Source is referred to as Sophia or The Sophia, the Divine Mother/Father of all life.

“I love you. You are free.  You are me.  We are one.  It is safe for you to remember and reveal who you really are now.” (Sophia Speaks, The Sophia Code, p.13)

And so, the same divine qualities also exist in Christ consciousness, also birthed from Source.  The word “Christ” originates from a Greek word, Christos, meaning “anointed” and was typically referred to for ceremonial sacred rites of passage into leadership. It is also referred to as Messiah in Hebrew. So, to be the Christ, or Messiah, is to be “the anointed one of God.” We know and acknowledge that Christianity has assigned that title to a single being, Jesus.  Not disputing that here.

Yet, as a sovereign divine being, birthed from Source, I reclaim the word Christ to declare that I too am an anointed one of God.

Too radical?

Am I in danger of being targeted by fundamentalists who feel entire ownership of that word?  Then so be it.

It is far more important for me to stand in my sovereignty and declare that I too am the anointed one.  And so are you by the way.

Hence why Christ consciousness is part of this divine feminine movement.  There is a lot more historical detail and literature that explores the depth and spiritual meaning of Christ consciousness but it is not my intention here to juxtapose my exploration.  I simply wish to declare that in my sovereignty, everything that was taken into ownership by Patriarchy, is up for grabs (not by fighting for it but by reclaiming it) and the word Christ is no exemption.

Are you ready to reclaim your radical, sovereign and divine Christed self? See how I can support you.
