Mistakes are catalysts for your growth
There’s an episode on Sex in the City where Carrie makes a decision to leave New York to be with her Lover in Paris 🥐💘. Her best friend warns her that it’s a mistake, but she does it anyway.
Turns out it worked out badly for Carrie – but was it really a mistake? 🤔
I still took the job everyone warned me against taking couple of decades ago, and only lasted one year before I quit. Was it my mistake to not heed their warnings? 🤔
My friends tried their best to dissuade me from dating a guy who they knew was not right for me, yet I insisted and then proceeded to have my heart badly broken. My bad? 🤔
Thing is - there is no such thing as a mistake. Just as Carrie’s disastrous affair in Paris eventually led her to meet her soulmate, my toxic job was the catapult I needed to start my new business. And that tragic relationship I should never have bothered with – was exactly what I needed to heal up some old ‘father wounds’ that cleared the way for my next relationship.
There is always wisdom in these experiences which is ultimately preparing us for the life we came to truly live.
It is so easy to choose the ‘safe’ option and ‘avoid’ the ‘mistakes’. But that’s not where your life is. The life waiting for you requires you to take a risk (even if it is a ‘mistake’) and explore a new undiscovered pathway. One step at a time.
If you are ready to take that next step - book a session with me and explore how your Soul wants to guide you beyond your ego’s fears of making a mistake.
